Today I present you a very quick & easy but yet
very charming project. It's a pocket
mirror decorated with images of vintage ladies.
It works out nicely as gift for a young girl or teenager. I decorated three of them and here it is how
they look:
I found these pocket mirrors at a discount store for
only 0, 90 cents, and immediately I knew I wanted to give them a vintage touch.
The cover of the mirrors was plain. I started then by cleaning the surface with water and soap and let it dry.
In the meantime I printed the vintage ladies pictures
on a regular bond paper and sealed the surface with a fixative in spray to
prevent the ink from running.
The next step was to calculate the area I would be using for the cover, cut it out and glue it to the surface with Mod Podge or Decoupage Glue.
The final step was to protect the whole project with 2
coats of a Water-base Varnish in spray & it's done.
I made this very last minute, but if you have more
time you can also add some bids & glitter to enhance it. This is a very easy project but the mirror
receives a charming upgrade that worth carrying in your purse.
